(Antigen test)

In the case of complaints/symptoms, the test is taken over by the social security system. In this case, the test is free of charge for the patient.

• A nose/throat smear is performed and evaluated directly in our house.
• You will receive the result after about 20 minutes.
• Antigen tests are based on the detection of viral protein in respiratory sample materials.
• The antigen test only responds to a higher viral load. This means that it can be false negative at the beginning or end of a Covid-19 infection.

A positive test result has an accuracy of over 97%.

Depending on the medical and clinical condition, a repetition of the test may be necessary, as a negative test result does not exclude infection.

The Covid rapid test is not yet recognised by the authorities in Austria at this time and is therefore not suitable for official offices.
